Use C20, C25, C32 or C42 plus the listed body dimensions to identify the collet.

C20-C42
C20, C25, C32 and C42 straight-shank collets with metric and selected inch bores. Compare body diameter, length and individual bore options in the model table.
C type straight shank collets are arranged by C20, C25, C32 and C42 body families. The catalog includes body dimensions and separate bore selections, including selected inch options. Match the complete collet geometry to the existing clamping system; a similar nominal bore alone does not establish that two collets are interchangeable.
Use C20, C25, C32 or C42 plus the listed body dimensions to identify the collet.
Metric and selected inch bores are listed separately within the family table.
Compare D, D2, L and L1 with the existing system before specifying a substitute.
The C32 metric row lists D = 32 mm, D2 = 37.5 mm, L = 65 mm and L1 = 61.5 mm. Its listed bores are 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 25 mm. A request such as “C32 metric, 12 mm bore, quantity 4” identifies the family and bore more clearly than “32 mm collet.” This is an ordering example; availability still requires confirmation.
Request C32 metric bores. Attach the receiving-holder identification if this is a replacement. Compare SK collets or ER collets only after identifying the actual holder system.
The bore lists below describe individual options, not a continuous clamping range. The C32 mixed row includes 1/8 inch; the C42 inch row starts at 1/4 inch. Both list 1/2 inch, but their body dimensions differ, so the bore alone does not identify a replacement.
State the exact bore in inches and the quantity for each size. A list of catalog options does not confirm that all sizes are included in one package; confirm the selected sizes and mating-holder drawing in the quotation.

Record the C20, C25, C32 or C42 body family separately from each tool bore and quantity. Include D, D2, L and L1 measurements, the existing holder identification and photographs when requesting a replacement.
Dimensions are in millimeters unless otherwise stated. Confirm the final drawing before ordering.
Select an underlined catalog reference to include that row in your inquiry.

Ranges and slash-separated values describe catalog families, not every possible combination. Confirm the complete model and drawing before ordering.
Typical selection contexts for this series, not customer project claims. Confirm machine compatibility and cutting conditions for your setup.
Replacing collets in machines already using a confirmed C type clamping arrangement.
Maintaining separate metric and inch tool shank selections.
Supplying replacement bores against a customer's existing collet drawing.
Specify the dimensions, tolerances and records your order requires. Acceptance criteria must be agreed for the selected model.
Check the drawing reference faces and units. A catalog size alone does not define a tolerance or an inspection method.
List any required dimensional report, material document or model identification photograph in your inquiry. Confirm availability and scope in the quotation.
For a drawing-based part, include the drawing revision and identify the critical dimensions. Website photographs are not inspection reports.
Agree the packing method and photo requirements when confirming your order.
No verified shipment photographs for this series are currently published. Include selected-model, protective-packing and outer-label photos in your order requirements.
Discuss packing requirementsUse this checklist to agree what should be documented for your selected model.
Stock, dispatch date and shipping method are confirmed with the quotation. Website images are not live inventory evidence.
Keep a copy of the current series information for comparison. Confirm the final model and drawing before placing an order.

Browse technical resourcesIn this table C32 identifies the collet family. The supplied bore is selected separately.
Do not assume interchangeability. Their connection geometry must be matched to the intended holder.
Use the exact required bore designation. A rounded metric conversion should not replace the specified inch size.
Provide clear views and measured body diameters, lengths and bore, together with details of the holder.
